Bursting onto the scene (and out of her blouse) last year at "The Cans Festival" in London, along with appearances at Glastonbury, UpFest, The Frieze Art Fair and various other places, she has jiggled her way into the hearts of many. There's something decidedly off the wall, about how the Tart puts her Art on the wall. It's been said that girls will be girls, and this particular girl is on a mission to inject a pinch of colour and make the world a touch less gray, a smidgen more glamorous and to leave it smelling of roses.

The Art Tart is the creation of artist Rose Popay who's life initially started off as one of Popay's satirical characters depicted in her live performances and films. As graffiti art grew in Britain of the back of Banksy fame, The Art Tart already on the scene and working with many of the founding artists began to surf this commercial wave and as they say 'is here to stay'. Popay's other incarnations include some of the many characters of the Natural Theatre Company.
